My oatmeal brings all the boys to the yard! Nothing better than a Wednesday afternoon of trying out new recipes and shooting with my ceramics. You can find the series in my portfolio: www.studiokroes.be/food.
I can't lie. Rens Kroes (www.renskroes.com) is my ultimate inspiration. Her recipes are no struggle, they do work every time and are insanely delicious! I wanted to trie some new meals for breakfast. So I went to the market on Wednesday in Antwerp and found the most fresh ingredients for no money! Than I stopped by at my favorite place where they have freshly roasted nuts. You behold the piles of nuts when you stand in front of the window. The smell is so addictive. When you enter the shop they let you taste a few salted nuts, it's the best experience. And cheaper than any grocery store.
After shopping, it's cooking and shooting time. Even when it's just for fun, the creating of an image keeps me alert. For this types of shoot, I've made my own backgrounds from wooden plates, putty and paint. I've been working with these backgrounds for a while, but love to make some new ones. (New blogpost soon!!)
My ceramics and wooden cutlery from Marrakech are mostly part of my portfolio shoots. An opinion (and addiction) of mine is that it's important to buy nice tableware, it doesn't have to cost a lot, but it makes your food even more tasteful.
More pictures then words today. I don't have much inspiration to write. Just wanted to inspire and share something about this portfolio-shoot.
